Industry report

The 48-page industry report produced as part of the 'Central connection: Examining a novel approach to enhancing local news access in Alice Springs' project has been published and presented to project partner the Mparntwe Alice Springs Community Foundation.

This research examined the role of the community foundation in reviving a local newspaper, the Centralian Today. The research investigated community perceptions of life without a local masthead, documents the process involved in re-establishing the newspaper and evaluated its perceived impact in the months after its return.
